• Unfortunately Birmingham has been labelled as the worst place to live in Britain as Climate Change increases. This is according to a study undertaken by the BBC for programme Climate Change Now and exposes the inhabitants of the West Midlands as least prepared area to make changes to try and reduce the Carbon Footprint. What does this mean? Well in a nut shell Birmingham could be the hottest place in the UK towards the end of the century. (April 2007)

• The Belgian government has approved of what is the first national ban on less energy efficient appliances. From July, retailers will be banned from selling a refridgerator, freezer or washing machine less than A rated under the EU energy efficiency classification scheme. (April 2007)
